Supply Chain Development

Social Compliance

At Williams-Sonoma, Inc., we aim to ensure all our manufacturing suppliers follow high social standards in their operations and are committed to integrity and honesty throughout all aspects of our business. We work with suppliers who meet rigorous standards for safe, healthy work conditions, and whose employment practices conform with local law, best industry practices and our company standards. These include strict prohibition against child labor, prison or forced labor, unsafe working conditions, unfair wage practices, or non-compliance to any local regulation. All of our suppliers are expected to sign and abide by our Vendor Code of Conduct.

Beyond Compliance

Beyond high standards of compliance, we invest in the people who make our products, increasing economic opportunities for workers in our supply chain through programs that enhance benefits and education. We invest in programs that improve health-related knowledge to low-income working women and that build the financial capabilities of our factory workers and their families. We are also committed to programs that preserve and cultivate markets for artisans and craftsman around the world.
