Reducing emissions by increasing efficiency provides us with significant cost savings, a competitive advantage and supports our commitment to reducing our environmental impact. We have made significant strides in emissions reductions. While revenues grew by 6 percent in 2015, our overall greenhouse gas emissions went down by 2 percent.
LANDFILL DIVERSION
& RECYCLING
As a major multi-channel retailer, we see an opportunity to create significant impact by keeping waste out of landfills. We’re continuing to increase recycling, diversion and composting efforts in our stores, distribution centers and offices. Moving forward, we are increasing our focus on waste audits, developing new recycling pilots and prioritizing circular economy projects.
